A few weeks ago I along with a group of married friends stayed in the village of Mocorito, located just an hour and a half from Culiacan. We stayed at the Hotel “La Cuarteria”, located in the street Francisco I. Madero #67 in the Historic Center.
Don Jose Sabas de la Mora in 1906 established a printing press in the building where the Hotel “La Cuarteria” is built. In June 30th, 1903 began here with the publication of the newspaper “Voz del Norte”.
We were also told that in July 1st, 1907 the magazine “Arte” was released, it was one of the publications of most significance of Sinaloa writers. It was directed by Enrique González Martínez and Sixto Osuna.
“Arte” was one of the most cosmopolitan and contemporary magazines of the porfiriato in Mexico, publishing in its pages Mexican and foreign writers.
Mocorito offers to its visitors countless attractions worth visiting. The hemicycle, the main square, the Church of the Immaculate Conception, the elementary school “Benito Juarez”, where Rafael Buelna studied.
Ernesto Ríos painted a mural in The House of Culture “Enrique González Martínez,” which narrates the story of Mocorito, inaugurated for the celebrations of the four hundredth anniversary of the founding of this city.
The Regional Museum with works by various artists, movie camera, pre-Hispanic Indian graves with human bones in ancient clay pots, rivers, hot springs, parks and of course the delicious cuisine which is worldwide famous.

How this Virtual Tour was made
There is a large window in the dining room and the roof has a transparent cover and to prevent the pictures from coming out “burned” (overexposed), I decided to make the virtual tour very early to take the blue hour and that is why we have that nice color.
As you may have seen, my favorite time to take the photo sphere shots is the blue and golden hour, which are achieved in the first and last light hours of the day.
We visited some communities around where we could enjoyed delicious regional sweets. We were very happy in Mocorito, its people are very friendly and treat tourists with great hospitality.
